You must have strong trade floor support experience and have MAC OS experience. Please, no agencies or consulting firms. This is a dream position with an amazing hedge fund we represent.
Incumbent is responsible for all aspects of desktop support, including off-hours support (24x7 support, weekend support, etc), client support, client training, research, development and implementation of packaged software, regression testing of new versions of software, and tasks as assigned. Will work with engineering in creating new standardized and automated desktop builds, automated package deployment, enhanced security and creating an actively managed environment.
Responsibilities:
Desktop and Client Support (50%); Documentation (25%); Engineering (15%); Training (10%)
• Implement and directly support various business need applications.
• Diagnose and resolve concerns with custom, client server or web software leveraging developers, vendors, engineering, desktop support to address product scalability, usability, reliability, functionality, and performance related issues to the satisfaction of our clients.
• Conduct compatibility testing between various applications and upgrades/patches.
• Cultivate and maintain successful relationships between the Information Technology Department and internal clients.
Skill Requirements:
• 5-10 years hands on experience supporting traders, portfolio administrators, portfolio managers, researchers, etc.
• 5-10 years hands on experience resolving issues related to packaged and customized software, desktop hardware, network hardware, and servers.
• BS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience required.
• Proven customer service/user support skills and experience working with employees at the highest organizational levels.
• Ability to multitask and help manage small to large projects in a cross-functional environment.
• Must have strong interpersonal skills, have a high degree of professionalism, be self-motivated, have strong desire to learn, and be adaptable to a fast paced, ever-changing environment.

• Trade Order Management System (Longview, Moxy, Charles River, etc.)

• Portfolio and Partnership Accounting (AXYS, Geneva, Sungard VPM, etc.)
• Portfolio and Market Analysis Systems (Factset, Eagle, etc.)
Compensation: 100k range, totally open to go higher if necessary
